Skinpacks for the Simulation

Auf dieser Seite präsentiere ich  Sammlungen meiner erstellten Farbschemen (Skinpacks) für verschiedene Flugzeugmodelle der Simulation :)

On this page I will present the collections of my own paint schemes (Skinpacks), which I release for the public use for the Simulation :)

Skinpacks for the Simulation

All Skinpacks used beside the respectivly Alpha Channel also my own version of the Bump Map/Normal Map File in 4k resolution, which suited my paintschemes better than the original one. Downloading the MOD File and using a MOD Manager (like JSGME) you install and deinstall easily the skinfiles and the new Bump Map/Normal Map!

Therefore a safety copy of the original Bump Map/Normal Map is not necessary!

Bf-109 G6 of Stab III./JG 3 in 1943

Picture of Stab III./JG 3 Messerschmitt Bf-109-G6/R6 based in Bad Wörishofen mid to end 1943

Skinpack for IL2 BOS Series

The III./JG 3 "Udet" was the most successful fighter unit agains USAAF & RAF bomber formations during 1943 and beginning 1944. Manny Aces like Walther Dahl flew with this group. During their missions the was equipt with two underwing mounted 20 mm gun pods nicknaming these planes as "Kanonenboot/Gunboat" or with two rocketlauncher also underwing mounted, the BR 21 (Bordrakete) was only used by the 7th/JG 3 represented by the Comet symbol!

During summer 1943 till autumn Bf-109 G5 high altitude fighter was used, one of them flown by Major Walter Dahl. These plane was repainted in RLM 76 only with a black protection colour painted on the wing roots. The other "Stab" planes used a normal camouflage scheme and sported a white Spinner with black thin or wider (in case of Dahl's Bf-109 G5 plane) spiral.

The III./JG 3 "Udet" was the most successful fighter unit agains USAAF & RAF bomber formations during 1943 and beginning 1944. During their missions the was equipt with two underwing mounted 20 mm gun pods nicknaming these planes as "Kanonenboot/Gunboat" or with two rocketlauncher also underwing mounted, the BR 21 (Bordrakete) which was responsible for their comet symbol!

During summer 1943 the comet was painted in white with a darker background colour underneth. Because of the information's I refer to it's at the moment for me historical to paint the background in shades of grey, but Claes Sundin suggests that it also could be red/red brown so the skinspack includes also a red/brown version!

But the planes still uses the comet symbol on the bulges, but now painted in white with a red surrounding, as I have painted for these planes. Since late 1943 JG 3 also applied the white "Reichsverteidigungband (RVT)" to all of it planes. In the package are at the moment 5 planes which are all based on historical information's!

Bf-109 G6 of III./JG 3 detached to 9./JG 3 end 1943

9./JG 3 Eye Squad Messerschmitt Bf-109-G6/R6 based in Bad Wörishofen mid to end 1943

Skinpack for IL2 BOS Series

The III./JG 3 "Udet" was the most successful fighter unit agains USAAF & RAF bomber formations during 1943. Many Aces flew with this group where 9th Staffel sported a yellow eye symbol covering the "Beulen" of the Bf-109 G6 planes. During their missions the was equipt with two underwing mounted 20 mm gun pods nicknaming these planes as "Kanonenboot/Gunboat" or with two rocketlaunchers also underwing mounted, the BR 21 (Bordrakete) which was responsible for their comet symbol!

The Symbol of the yellow eye was like the symbol of the Comet by 7./G 3 specially used by 9./JG 3 and is well documented. Beside these bulge paintings there are also some different interpretation's especially in profiles showing the plane of Hauptmann Wilhelm Lemke, so I includes five (5) versions of his plane with different paintings that are showing the "normal" yellow Eye with red surrondings, two version related to Claes Sundin's interpretation, a version of Jerry Crandall's Decal sheet EagleCals #01 and a plane without any painting on the bulges based on photographs in my used literature. Historical based skin of Feldwebel Alfred Surau (Yellow 6) and two more rounded the skin package to eight (8) paintschemes.
